Camp Connection will be offered summer 2008 at Special Cheers. Both half day and full day camps will specialize in assisting children with their sensory motor needs. Always a low ratio of children to adults ensures the children will be able to work on their personal sensory diets. There are areas of focus from vestibular and proprioception to fine motor skills. The frame of reference behind these camps is based on Dr. Jean Ayer’s Sensory Integration Theory and Camp Avanti. Camp Connection is unique with an indoor climbing wall, suspended sensory equipment, therapeutic listening, deep pressure program, therapeutic riding, AIT, Interactive Metronome and many integrative activities. Camp is a good time to start working on learning how to identify body regulation and how to modulate it effectively.
